In this case, users may see the “No Internet” error in the “Network Connection Status Indicator” (NCSI) in the notification area of the taskbar.
Although Microsoft stated that the problem is limited to devices using LTE modems, after the release of Windows 10 version 2004, non-LTE devices also have similar network connection errors, so this LTE problem may be related to the problem.
Some users have also reported that sometimes even when the PC has a fully valid network connection, the no Internet connection notification in the taskbar will appear, but the Internet can still be accessed through web browsers such as Chrome and Edge. This can cause applications such as Spotify, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, and Windows Store to not function properly because they rely on the Network Connection Status Indicator (NCSI) to check the Internet status on the device.
To solve this problem, Microsoft said that users need to enable and disable airplane mode from the operation center. Once completed, NCSI will report the Internet status correctly.
Understands that Microsoft currently plans to fix this issue at the end of September.
